B Strong Ride

PACKET PICKUP & DAY-OF REGISTRATION
B Strong Ride packet pick up (and day-of registration) is located at the ride start-finish at the Celestial Seasonings Café at 4600 Sleepytime Drive, Boulder (Gunbarrel). Packet pick up and registration is open the morning of the ride and the previous afternoon:

• Fri, 8/9: 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
• Sat, 8/10: 6:15 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.

Each rider must pick up his/her own packet. Your B Strong packet includes:

• Rider number
• Ride map & profile
• B Strong T-shirt
• B Strong jersey for riders who raise $500 or more in their fundraising account.
• Premium Super-Plush B Strong Hoodie for riders who raise $1,000 or more in their fundraising account.

PARKING
You may park your car at Celestial Seasonings. If onsite parking fills, there is offsite parking close by. Vehicles are parked at owners' risk.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Post Ride Festivities and Entertainment:
Plan to stick around after you finish riding. Post ride food and drinks (No Charge For Riders!) will be provided by: KT’s BBQ, Rush Bowls, Rio Grande & Snarf’s Sandwiches, as well as beer & hard Seltzer from Oskar Blues & Tito’s Vodka cocktails!

There is also a great slate of entertainment (sponsored by Cogent Biosciences), featuring Jakarta!

RIDE ROUTES
All routes start and finish at Celestial Seasonings at 4600 Sleepytime Drive. The 1-mile Mini B for riders 10 and under is on the Celestial Seasonings grounds.

All B Strong routes are available on Ride with GPS.

RIDE SUPPORT
B Strong Ride’s outstanding support services are provided on the tour route 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., including:

• SAG VEHICLES - provided for you and your bike if you are unable to complete the ride.
• OUTSTANDING AID STATIONS - Lavishly stocked aid stations (3 on Mountain Loop, 2 on Red Zinger 38 & 1 on Countryside Loop) provide an assortment of food and drinks, live music, first aid supplies and toilets.

• BIKE TECHS available to assist you at the ride start and all aid stations. Riders should carry (and know how to use) equipment to patch and change tubes. Our thanks to each of our bicycle repair vans Wheat Ridge Cyclery , Trek Bicycle Boulder , Cenna Custom Cycles and Boulder Bicycle Works .
• MEDICAL SUPPORT – B Strong has gone to great lengths to assure your safety on this ride. Ambulances, medics and radio-equipped staff will patrol the route. Our thanks to Stadium Medical for providing ambulance coverage and the physicians, nurses, paramedics and EMTs of Boulder Community Health and University of Colorado EMS for serving as vehicle and bicycle-based medics.
  

SAFE RIDING RULES
Your safety is our number one concern. Please read the information below and ride by it.

B Strong Ride is conducted on open roads with vehicular traffic present. These roads include both marked and unmarked hazards. B Strong Ride goes to great lengths to be as safe as possible, but each rider is only as safe as he or she rides. Please ride with your own safety in mind!

• Beware of and yield to vehicle traffic.
• Ride as far to the right as possible. Riding two abreast is only permitted when the shoulder is wide enough to accommodate two cyclists.
• Obey traffic lights, stop signs and traffic rules and regulations.
• Approved helmets are required while riding.
• Follow the directions of police officers and safety marshals on the route.
• Wearing headphones while riding is prohibited.
• Bicycle trailers and child seats are only allowed on the "Mini B" course.
• Move completely off the road and shoulder when stopped.
• Rearview mirrors are strongly recommended.
• Cross railroad tracks at right angles.

WHAT TO BRING
Water, tool kit, spare tube and patches, pump or CO2 and foul weather gear. (Severe weather is always a possibility, especially on the Mountain Loop.)

CONDITIONING and EQUIPMENT
Be sure you and your bicycle are up to the challenge you undertake. The Mountain Loop is a rigorous course for conditioned cyclists, and all courses require proper equipment. If you are uncertain if your bike will make the grade, have it checked out by a qualified shop.
